Girls on Track Community Invitation

The Girls on Track program at Edison Intermediate/Larry Larson Middle School is preparing for a 5K race on Saturday, May 30, at 11 a.m., with pre-race activities beginning at 10 a.m., at the Columbus Commons located downtown at 160 South High Street and community members are invited to race with them or cheer along the sidelines.

Reminder: All Coaches and Girls on the Run participants taking part in the GOTR spring 2015 season will not need to register for the 5K.

WBNS 10TV Commit to be Fit Segment Features Grade 6 Girls on Track Program


WBNS 10TV recently featured the Girls on Track program at Edison Intermediate/Larry Larson Middle School in their Commit to be Fit series.  Teachers Sara Hager, Emily Meister, and Nicole Wainscott, along with Grandview Heights parent Luann Hoover,  coaches this new after school running program which is a compliment to the Girls on the Run program held at Stevenson Elementary School in the fall and this spring.  To view the segment, click on the link below:

According to the Girls on Track program website, the Girls on Track curriculum is designed to address the challenges and obstacles that today's middle-school girls face that can affect their emotional and physical well-being.these challenges by empowering them to make thoughtful and healthy decisions. Like Girls on the Run, the Girls on Track curriculum is delivered over the course of 10 to 12 weeks and addresses the societal, mental and emotional challenges particular to their age.
