Facility Planning Process - Community Meeting #1

Grandview Heights Schools welcomed an estimated 200 guests to its first Community Facilities Planning Process meeting on Wednesday evening, August 24, 2016.  The varied audience included parents, community members and residents, district staff, and a few students.

Superintendent Andy Culp offered an introductory presentation that reviewed the planning process by identifying both the physical facility needs and educational needs of our students.  Kevin Harrison of Harrison Planning Group (HPG) then presented his assessments of Stevenson Elementary, Edison Intermediate/Larson Middle School, Grandview Heights High School, and the Kindergarten Annex building.

The district plans to explore all options and no decisions have been made at this time.  A full calendar of Building Level meetings and tours is available on the Facility Planning web page.  The next community meeting will be held on January 4, 2017, at 7 p.m. in the John Glenn Community Center (Commons Area) of Edison Intermediate/Larson Middle School located at 1240 Oakland Avenue.  The powerpoint presentations presented by Andy Culp and Kevin Harrison are attached below.  More information regarding the facilities planning process can be found at http://link.ghcsd.org/facilities.
