GRITALY TRAVELERS!  We will have a very brief meeting in the art room at the beginning of lunch on TODAY.  Please plan to attend.  If you cannot, please email Ms. Kelsey for details.

 

SENIOR NIGHT FOR TRACK & FIELD TONIGHT:  Thursday, April 18th at Columbus School for Girls.  Come Celebrate: Brendan Borkowski, Hayley Cook, Jillian & Noah Curfman, Blake Fisher, Freddie Keil, Denison Murphy, Madeline Palmisciano, Colin Parker, Charlotte & Ryan Tucker!  Thanks for making Grandview Heights  Track & Field Great!

 

ROBOTICS TEAM CELEBRATION!  FRIDAY during lunch in the robotics room.  Lunch will be provided.

 

There will be a GSA meeting in the Art Room on FRIDAY. We will be discussing movie night, art show, and end of year plans. Be there or be square.

 

SERVICE HOURS NEEDED?  Saturday, 7:30 a.m.  at 815 Grandview Avenue - Come help deliver mulch this Saturday morning with the Bobcat Boosters and receive much needed service hours!  Donuts and Coffee provided as well as a Hotdog cookout at the Freemans (1858 W. First Ave) after delivery.

 

BEST BUDDIES FRIENDSHIP WALK SATURDAY: 10:30 a.m. bus at the front of the High School, return about 1:00 p.m.  Please get a field trip form in the office and return it by the end of lunch on Friday. We had a great turn out last year and we are hoping to do the same this year. All are welcomed!!! We hope to see you there!!

 

BIG RIVER CLEAN UP AT CONFLUENCE PARK  Green Columbus is hosting its annual Earth Day litter clean-up from 10am to 2pm, SATURDAY at Confluence Park (north end of the Boathouse Restaurant parking lot, 679 West Spring Street, Columbus, 43215).  This clean-up event focuses on the removal of literally tons of litter from the confluence of the Olentangy and Scioto Rivers. SOLAR ECLIPSE GLASSES RECYCLING  (Thru April 26) - Environmental Club will be collecting used, undamaged solar eclipse glasses for SWACO for reuse. SWACO has partnered with the organization Solar Eclipse USA to send eclipse glasses to schools in Latin America to be distributed to school-aged children so they can safely view the October 2024 Annular Eclipse. Please drop your new, used, undamaged eclipse glasses in the donation bin in the front hallway.

SERVICE HOURS  Looking for some service hours?  There is an opportunity to earn service hours on THURSDAY, APRIL 25 from 5 - 8 pm (3 hours of service) serving dinner to volunteers at event center in Grandview. If interested, please see Mrs. Urig or email her at [email protected].

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY INDUCTION CEREMONY  The NHS Induction Ceremony induction ceremony will be held before school on Monday, April 29 at 7:30 a.m., in the GHHS Auditorium.   • Cafeteria open 7:50 am - 8:15 am, during class breaks, and 10:45 - Noon for lunch

*IMPORTANT ATTENDANCE PROCEDURES REMINDER* 

 

1. To report an absence OR upcoming appointment, contact Cheri Berlin at (614)485-4004 or [email protected]. before 8:00 a.m.

2.  Once the parent has alerted the office of an appointment, the student may leave class at the scheduled time and sign-out in the office. (Student will also be responsible to sign-in upon return, if applicable.) This procedure is much less disruptive to the classroom, and more convenient for parents as they need not enter the building. Even if your student is 18 or older, this is still required.

3.  A Planned Absence form should be completed if your student will be absent for a planned event such as a college visit or family trip.  Students are responsible for contacting each teacher to complete/sign form.  Forms are available online and in the office.

The NHS Induction Ceremony has been rescheduled due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict for a considerable number of new inductees. The induction ceremony will now be held before school on Monday, April 29 at 7:30 a.m., in the GHHS Auditorium. GRANDVIEW HEIGHTS MOUNTAIN BIKE TEAM*

Any student in 6th-12th grade interested in mountain biking in the fall of 2024, please click on the link below and fill out the Google Form. Practice starts in late July/early August. We focus on technique while having fun and gaining fitness. No experience necessary! We participate in 5 races with the last one occurring the second weekend in October.

*The Grandview Mountain Bike team is not affiliated with Grandview Heights Schools. We are a separate entity racing in the Ohio Mountain Bike League and governed by the National Interscholastic Cycling Association.
