Registration Information for Grandview Heights Schools (Columbus, OH)

Welcome to the Grandview Heights Schools Registration & Enrollment process.  Please note that Grandview Heights Schools does not have an open enrollment policy.  Students must live within district boundaries to register tuition free. 
 
Registration for 2024-2025 kindergarten is OPEN.
 
2023-2024 KG-12 Registration - New Registration System Available Friday, April 26.
To register for the current school year (2023-2024) in grades KG-12.
 
 
Registration for 2024-2025 grades 1-12 will open in May 2024.
 
 

Registration & Enrollment Information and Forms

Kindergarten 2024-2025 School Year

 

Thank you for beginning the process to enroll your student in Grandview Heights Schools. To register tuition-free, please follow the steps below to assure you reside within our district boundaries. Grandview does not have an open enrollment policy and you must reside within district boundaries to enroll.

 

STEP 1:

Confirm that your residence is within the Grandview Heights Schools district boundaries, complete the following steps:

  • Visit the Franklin County Auditor’s website at: http://www.franklincountyauditor.com
  • In the Online Tools section, click on Property Search
  • Click either Search by Owner or Search by Address and provide the appropriate information in the search criteria.
  • Under Tax Status, locate School District.  If the school district listed is "2504 Grandview Heights CSD", then you live within the Grandview Heights Schools boundaries.

 

STEP 2:
Complete the Pre-Registration form (NEW LINK Coming 4/26/24) for each student you are registering. This will provide some basic information necessary to our staff to begin the registration process.

 

STEP 3:

You will receive an email from PowerSchool once your Pre-Registration has been approved by the building Enrollment Specialist. The email will direct you to set up a PowerSchool account to complete the forms necessary for enrollment. If you have an existing PowerSchool account, the email will provide instructions on how to link this student to your account. Please complete all forms as soon as possible. When completing the form 7 (Document Attachments) you will have the opportunity to upload documents required for enrollment. Those required documents are listed below.

 

At any time during the form completion process, you can click the “Save for Later” button at the bottom of the screen and return at a later time to complete the process. Please contact your building Enrollment Specialist if you have questions.

 


STEP 4:

Your building Enrollment Specialist will review your forms and contact you with any questions or additional information needed. Students may not attend and will not be given a schedule until your registration is completed. You will receive an email confirmation when your student has been successfully enrolled.

Required Documents

  1. Parent Photo Identification

It’s important that we can verify the identification of those requesting to enroll their child in the Grandview Heights Schools. A drivers license, or state/federal identification with a photo is required.

 

  1. Verification of Student Identification (must present any one of the following items)
  • Student Birth Certificate (Preferred) 
  • Passport or attested transcript of a passport filed with the registrar of passports showing the date and place of birth of the child;
  • Attested/certified transcript of the certificate of birth; attested/certified transcript of the certificate of baptism or other religious record showing the date and place of birth of the child;
  • An attested/certified transcript of a hospital record showing the date and place of birth of the child; or a birth affidavit.

 

  1. Proof of Custody/Guardianship

Custody Document - Certified copy of a judge’s order or decree or modification of such order allocating parental rights and responsibilities and designating a residential parent for school placement purposes (if applicable), please include the Shared Parenting Agreement if one exists.

 

 

  1. Address Verification
  • If you lease: A copy of the entire current and signed lease agreement with parent/guardian's name(s) listed. Name and phone number of the landlord must be provided in order to verify the lease. A new lease will be required each year upon expiration.
  • If you own your home: Verification from the Franklin County Auditor’s website confirming ownership or a copy of the Warranty Deed from a recent closing.
  • If you do not own your residence, do not have a lease, or are leasing on a month to month basis, please download the Residency Affidavit.  Please complete the form, have it notarized, and upload to the Document Attachments form as you complete the online registration process. This document will be required each year.
  1. Immunization Record (Shot Record)

To assure that all schools provide safe and healthy learning environments, the Ohio Department of Health requires all students be immunized upon enrollment.
 

  1. Copy of Most Recent Special Education Documentation (if applicable)

Evaluation Team Report (ETR), Individualized Education Plan (IEP), 504 Plan, WEP/WAP or other gifted identification documents and letters.
