On September 24, a school-wide assembly introduced the program and opportunity to the student body. Led by Best Buddies student leaders and organizers, the assembly informed students about Best Buddies and shared how to get involved and support Best Buddies both at the local school and state levels.

good morning everybody. best buddies International Organization about developmental disabilities Brittany shaver best buddies spinal goal is to be that there doesn't need to be any more it started with one Wrightsville chapter and has grown to now 1700 different middle school high school chapters honeyberry how to say play me Heights High School is the first fast Buddy chapter in the whole state of Ohio this past July myself Ali Jack and Tristan went to the international press buddies costumes Macy's hours those four days are full of group eating to teach us about the organization we learned ways to have a new traffic had an amazing time meeting people from all over  while you're there we did run into a few games people Anthony Shriver the cancer in the upcoming movie please oh and Kyrie Irving from the Cleveland Cavaliers the biggest impact on this with someone from right here Columbus Ohio be better friend who's an active member in the best buddies chapter at the Ohio State University our new friend he loves watch the Ohio State Buckeyes pizzas favorites or Applebee's Oscars and lascala huge swimming best buddies events at OSU and hang out with his friends is going to class you love seeing his friends and teachers and the other for Nicole's hi everyone how are you doing I'm not a very I'm Nicole not Nicole traffic right now Tom Ford Elle and I got to take another today I'm actually a breeze bus buddy  and I will turn on my program I had my high school which is very similar to best buddies and it's called here cloudy and I'm also an Ohio State student and I'm impressed where to talk a little bit about what best buddies is and what it looks like on the piers and  and what these lovely students are doing in the schools I'm really excited to get you guys involved so I'm at Avery high school he actually went to Dublin Jerome Ave Dublin Coffman and swimming and he really is like the Highlight in my life he really changed my life and I met swimming and that really inspired me to want to do best buddies at Ohio State so what we do state is like every month we get to we just started eating them like this week I think they actually have like a pizza party thing and get with the kids and we always just have a good time and she's full of smiles and I know I just enjoying Teena Marie and everybody else up in the program  well I have a little different of a star I was working in our peer class ocean room which is a possible third grader when I started out the master program called Kaufman connection which is very similar to best buddies that's where we work on one-on-one relationships with people who have disabilities and artifical developing peers and its really great program but when I got to college I was a little unsure of where to go because that's great program and now I'm in a big college setting with not not a lot of one-on-one friendships with people who have disabilities and I have best buddies through Jackie stinchfield and Avery do I went to HighSchool with last year I was able to be set up with a really great person I got to know her it was awesome we got to go to the movies out to lunch we got it he's awesome Ciara I can an opportunity I have a new buddy so I'm being able to meet new people and experience the joy of meeting one friends like a jury in this is a generation I know it was going to talk a lot about what best buddies is done for him and I can cuz that is Deimos Horton part of this whole thing to get the night off the Avery my name is to upgrade by 5 hey uterine what are some of the things you do with best buddies hang out with Nicole yeah and what are some of the things that you call turn in and go to the grocery store go see a movie home Blue Jackets game catering  Aiden really like to get to know people and he's a really good friend and that's funny how many people in our program that went get the opportunity to meet Adrian and see that he is one of the greatest friends you can have in fact you really like Britney Spears singing in his car I would have known that I didn't get to know Avery and become his friend and so what best buddies great friendships that you necessarily want to get a half on a regular basis because you're not used to interacting with do you think you might have disabilities and it's not a problem it's not legal it's just we're giving you the opportunity to meet some really fantastic people and I know the same here is behind you have had all that awesome experiences with this and I'm sure they'll be able to talk all about highway map really matters everywhere and in more than one the one thing that represent right now is leadership that we think it's really important for a bill to get in front of your peers speak some of the matters a lot and that's in a culture that is inclusive does inclusive  you don't realize how important everyday interactions are from peer-to-peer and you don't real  is it the person sitting next  maybe going through the most difficult time in your life right now they may tell you that it matters a lot what we do  I want you to really think about that something I called you before it said it's very important to treat up as if you're hurting if you do that we're going to win this is a at building you're going to grow as a person and you're going to be a better person for the song I think you accomplishment we firmly believe that we all by celebrating an embracing our differences versus allowing them to be a barrier to Friendship we can improve the overall atmosphere of acceptance swarm genuine friendship throughout the school  just like Alex and told us a few weeks ago at the assembly for because I said I would about the little girl who made a promise to make friends the kids settle down and lunch we can all we can all be a friend of  a few ways to can start Foster this mission is by simply how is name you don't know  say hi to him and call him by name and of course join best
