A Message from Supt. Andy Culp

Dear Students, Staff, and Families,

We have wrapped up another great school year at Grandview Heights Schools. Our success would not be possible without the support of our teachers, staff, and families. Thank you for all that you do for our students and schools.

After a busy year of learning, I hope you and your family will take time to relax and recharge. Finding the proper life-work balance and focus on student wellbeing is an important part of the overall learning experience at Grandview Heights Schools. Whether your children are joining us for the Summer Kids’ Club Program, Camp Invention, the various sports camps we host throughout June, or you are planning a family vacation, have some fun!

Over the summer, we will continue our work on the Design Phase of the Facilities Master Plan. Throughout the process, we will keep you informed and answer any questions you may have. We have received questions about when and where students will attend the new 4-8 building and renovated Grandview Heights High School. We have created the attached graphic to explain when and how students will transition from the old schools to the new and renovated buildings. Please note students will not attend classesin trailers during construction.

On Wednesday, August 21, at 7 p.m. or Thursday, August 22, at 9 a.m. we will be hosting another community wide meeting on the building plan in the Edison Intermediate/Larson Middle School Commons. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us.  Also, throughout the summer visit our website at www.ghcsd.orgfor district updates and news and follow us on Facebook at Grandview Heights Schools.

Thank you again for making the 2018-2019 school year one of the best ones yet!  It continues to be a privilege to serve as your superintendent and we look forward to welcoming students back on August 14.

Have a safe and enjoyable summer!

Sincerely,

Andy Culp, Superintendent
