Welcome

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year!  My name is Sarah Hoepf and I am the 4th grade Science teacher at Edison. This is my seventeenth year of teaching and I am so very happy to be here in Grandview Heights.

Previously, I was a 1st, 1st/2nd multiage, Reading Recovery, Leveled Literacy Intervention, Reading Recovery teacher, and Literacy Collaborative Coach at J.C. Sommer, Harrisburg, and Darbydale Elementaries in South-Western City Schools. I earned my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education (with a Reading Endorsement and Psychology minor) at Ohio University (OU! Oh Yeah!) and earned my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Dayton. Eight years ago, I started at GHCSD as a part-time Kindergarten teacher. I guess you can see that variety is my passion.

My husband, Jeremy, and I have lived in Grandview for twelve years. The Hoepf family includes our daughter Adeline (Addi), our son Jonah, our dog Roxi Mae, and my classroom rabbit Hazel Hopper Hoepf. Our family takes full advantage of loving our community, parks and library. Once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat!

Welcome to Edison and fourth grade. It's a privilege to be be your child's teacher this year. Please contact me often; I respond most quickly to e-mail or text but welcome calls and conferences as well. I'm really looking forward to getting to know both your children and your families this year.
