The mission of EILMS and RLS media programs is to ensure that all students and staff have the opportunity and skills to access, evaluate, and use information effectively and ethically. The Library Media Specialist plays a critical role in the introduction of new learning technologies, support of the curriculum, and the teaching of information skills in a positive learning environment in which all students can become independent, lifelong learners.

Happy Summer!  Summer reading supports the educational growth and development of students as lifelong learners.  Summer reading helps to maintain the child's reading level,  thus ensuring a smoother transition from grade to grade.  Summer reading fosters choice, encourages appreciation of literature and enhances learning.  Please check out the Little Free Library located at EILLMS and RLS.
Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year.  It is going to be a "hoot and a holler" in the media center.

The fourth and fifth graders have been working on creating Little Free Libraries to place in the community. They have collaborated with Mr. Gintert and senior Ellie Macleod who will be building the structure using the high school's new CNC router. Check out this video to see the machine at work!
