when you walk through this building you can see from renovations they just kind of cut things up to make things work when it's too hot or too cold in the classroom 570 square feet and that's about half of what a typical high schooler have from the square footage standpoint morning our teachers are embracing and our students are loving it we're doing so much project-based learning but we truly truly truly are limited by by the space there is a four-step process in facility planning the first stop is an independent assessment of all of our existing K-12 facilities that assessment indicated that there was 44 million dollars in deferred maintenance reality is however we have about $540,000 of permanent Improvement on an annual basis to address our maintenance and what she needs understanding and appreciation as well as just how much wasted space there is just with all the you know the old buildings in the additions and the corridors and stairways yeah you never design a building like well we have today for work and then what your normal now it's the things you can you normally never see broken or are broken several doors that have to be a lot each day the maintenance staff for over a month if they did not come each and every morning to turn on the HVAC system there was going to be no air pumping whatsoever I've had where there was a water some kind of a water leak and wasn't just a little water leak with the hole I was down in water was Dripping so we had multiple buckets one of those things if you had an opportunity to do is to tour in all of our buildings I would strongly urge you to take advantage of our schedule tours that we have remaining and any and all of our facilities you know all you have to do is walk around our buildings and certainly you can see that many instances are well past their usefulness their lifespan the one thing I show on out all the chores and everybody kind of goes oh I understand our my bathrooms our goal is to elaborative Lee transparently engage the community and an iterative process I think the schools are so has been very transparent and in the information that we've gathered both for the financial data the building data the options trying to share that with everybody putting it on the website having from very important to to share that is widely as possible to this High School means a lot to so many people in it means a lot to us and be worked out in a way where we can make it better for a kids we would love to see that happen
