Treasurer Beth Collier explains what operating dollars are, how they are used and why the 1-mill request on the November 6 levy is needed.

my name is Beth Collier I'm the treasurer for Grandview Heights schools and I'm here to talk a little bit about the operating levy on the November ballot included in the November ballot ask 1 mil operating Levy and that Levy is the lowest operating Levy ask in more than 70 years operating levies generate critical Financial Resources to cover our day-to-day expenses such as teacher say Gary's Insurance utilities and supplies we take great pride in managing those operating resources as effectively and efficiently as possible at more than 75% of our operating resources directed towards classroom instruction where they can do the most good this is all part of the Great Value that residents get from our schools however it is important to understand that without the funds from the November ballot issue our district would be faced with diverting operating dollars to address critical facility needs if you have more questions about this issue feel free to contact us or go to our website at www . ghcsd.
