Grandview Heights High School is proud to present James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s Into The Woods. The Grimm brothers first published the stories of these fairy tale characters in 1812. Our Steampunk version of this classic musical blends the timeless stories with modern science fiction.

The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; Little Red Riding Hood, who wishes for a loaf of bread to bring her granny; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. By the end of Act I, everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. This production explores the true consequences of “happily ever after” and the responsibility of adults to set a positive example for future generations because “children will listen.”

This show is rated PG (due to adult situations/mild violence mainly in Act II).  Student pricing is available on Thursday night and Saturday afternoon only.  Student tickets for Thursday night and Saturday afternoon are $5.00 at the door.  Adult tickets for all shows range from $10.00 to $20.00 based on seating selection.  Student and adult tickets may be purchased at the door and in advance online.  To purchase tickets, click here https://www.onthestage.com/show/grandview-heights-high-school/into-the-woods-6290
