Summer Learning

Snorkeling, scuba diving, and a safari became experiential classrooms for Grandview Heights High School students who traveled to Curacao, a lesser Antillies island country in the southern Caribbean Sea, this summer.

Science teachers Dr. Jo Lee and Jeremy Rummer organized the trip and enlisted leader mentors, recent GHHS graduates who have diving experience, to support student learning.  The group stayed in the onsite dormitory at the Carmabi Research Facility where they could make their breakfast and sack lunches from groceries obtained on the island.  Check out a few of their photos here!
