the website for people who couldn't make it I guess I'll get a started I'm Nicole Wainscott in case you don't remember me and I'm running headed I teach this grade math and I am along with Joe one of the camp records for 5th grade  Matthew Walker intervention so probably when your kids with a Chance on Larry Larson was probably camp director and then Melanie Lawley took over for him and then this is our so we talk to you about the process of selecting so starting back on January 10th there were announcements at the high school so they started to get him some information and then a couple more details February  and you probably know that yesterday after school there was a meeting for kids were interested they were able to pick up applications ask questions and there are also applications in the office if the kids have the applications of they are going to be due to the law office next Friday at 3:15 and there's one new section on the application that requires the students to see misses Berlin in the high school office attendance and tourney record to have that information and then they also have to ask somebody that they know and professional roles I just stop us if you have any questions anywhere after all the let's from there so the interviews were going to from there we'll put together the less than just kind of ran send those out to the people in  so they can let us know if there's any student on there if they have a closer relationship with a student because they may have babysat for the family or they know them on a more personal level and will take them off after that in the lake we can have between applications being due and we send out a survey to the high school staff and we're asking for their feedback share any concerns with us counselor  we have that feedback until after interviews are over but it won't bias bias thank you interview so that we go in without knowing that and the reason why we chose this particular like for bullet points as because those are the learning attributes that Middle School we don't give students grades for their learning attributes and I don't think I School fight why there was giving them Grace for those yet but we wanted to make sure that we you know Captain around that  interview with Nana where are going to be posted on Monday March 13th at 8 a.m. will post them right outside the main office in the eye and we just asked the students to you know take a look at their time and if they have some sort of conflict we ask this then we already told them this and will tell them this again I'm that usually works out really great for them to just trade with a friend if they can't stand they actually can't be there for some reason I'm Brittany Parsons there are no I think then we check there are no sporting events. You know no games that night or anything so hopefully that will keep people on more flexible  and then later that day off after school we will have a mandatory meeting I'm just real brief just about 15 minutes or so I'm at the most just kind of to explain the process of interviews what's going to happen and what it's going to be like and then give him just tips for interviewing might you consider  so then the interview smells will take place I'll take place between I'll take place in our building each interview will last about 8 to 10 minutes so the interviewers we ourselves will ask a series of questions to an on the areas of focus during the interview will be personal characteristics experience so I can get to know that each interviewer so after that the eat of us will this year we will be slapping 40 cal so we'll start by having all staff members going through our rubrics and how we rated students and you know at this point after everyone has shared that's one will look at the high school  it's like we don't want us to have any on the other side but this time we'll look at the teacher feedback any concerns or phrases that they might have provided for students and then once we get to this point we'll look at our list of students decided the kids that were going to take and we'll look at any potential the best fit for each student think it's really important to note that it has an AP exam sporting conflict that does not eliminate them by any means trust me when I say we could not we know your kids are involved in a lot of things I'm so really this information just helps us to the side what you can't be about to avoid any conflicts we do have quite a few with fifth grade camp this year so an example they might have to make up for the choir so after we've gone through this whole process and we determine what you can still be going to the next day there's an optional interview feedback meeting for any student who wants information on whether or not that will be held in high school the last thing is the interviews with right before spring break so when we come back we're going to have a meeting with full Smith and six free counselors here and our library at 8 p.m. this is just kind of fifth grade will start their class sixth grade it's just me they have these are both of listen Denver on their applications it's all the dates required to be on so you can see that will keep them plenty busy if there's going to the counselor's the expectation is that they're at events that we have scheduled for the thing let us know in advance if there's a conflict for some reason we do if you can see it schedule are classes at 9 p.m. to try to avoid any conflicts  so there's pretty late nights with us here at the middle school vote so this is on the cover sheet to their application we told them yesterday that they need to save that page on before they turn around the classes typically there about an hour the secular classes yet is typically a long one you have your starting earlier if we can maybe. We might start and they have to do just to our lives so that's highlighted on application that they received at the bottom that there are five are listed but they're only required to Starcraft Bill know which ones they they're only Beats date select at that Tuesday evening meeting with crap they want to teach feldenkrais the list so they should have other dates ready to go by 6:20 p.m. questions yeah that's all we have it depends from your last year we had about 65 I think we haven't actually exactly 60 and yesterday we had 53 students came yesterday but I'm sure more will pick up application short and sweet information now so yeah thank you
