The Community Engagement Meeting #5 - First Presentation of Draft Facilities Options, was held on May 1, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. in the John Glenn Community Center - Edison Intermediate/Larson Middle School Commons located at 1240 Oakland Avenue, to present draft facilities options and gather community feedback. on behalf of New Heights Board of Education in Grandview Heights schools I'd like to welcome you to this evenings introduction of our options in community engagement meeting it is so great and does my heart good to see so many people here tonight I mean that and about as earnest send transparent and honest way as I possibly can say it for those of you that I haven't had a chance to meet my name is Andy called I am about to complete my third year and serving as your superintendent and it has been a tremendous pleasure and honor  yeah I want to begin by thanking each of you thanking each of you for being here tonight in joining the conversation because as most of you probably are Discerning I am going to make a board recommend Nation about how to address our deferred maintenance and what solution we come up with with regard to our facilities on September 19th however that process is going to be Inseparable be driven by your feedback not only the exit tickets tonight but also through the community-wide survey that each of you will take and that each of you will get five or six of your friends and neighbors to take as well I want to also just quickly do a once-over of the handouts that should be at your table you'll find I'm play Fur into it as an executive summary that has seven options on it three core options and then some sub options it's stapled it's fronting next  then you'll see a spreadsheet that is a single sheet overview of all of the options listed for those do you turn more Visual and then on the back of that you'll see a URL link to the online survey that I hope single one of you take as well as a QR code for those of you that are interested in accessing it by way of your smartphone you can do that as well  and then the other that each of you should have on your table is blue and it is the exit ticket for this evenings presentation to the intended outcome for tonight's meeting the first to share the timelines in the feedback process that I'll be using to make my board recommendation on September 19th  I'm going to hope provide an overview about how it is that I'm going to come to the decision to address our current realities with regard to our facilities share the three large draft options along with the sub options for tonight these are draft options and we tried to provide a wide swath varying options for your consideration they are draft options the feedback that you provide not only on your exit tickets but through the community survey will be used hopefully to narrow the options that we have that will be then be presented at our next option phase meeting on June 8th the exit ticket that all of you have also can be used to give more specific feedback about things that resonated questions that you have in any other advice or suggestions or recommendations so are we here we're here because  the long-term fiscal health of our district with respect to our facilities is legitimate challenging issue that we all face  we can either a dress or come up with some type of solution for our just facilities now or we can wait and as we Wade with each year the cost will become greater save a permanent Improvement fund that generates $540,000 annually  that fun it's primarily directed to 2 qt buckets the first bucket is technology so its technology infrastructure it is our one-to-one initiative in our devices and then sink or bucket is deferred maintenance  it is fixing roof it's fixing elevators it's fixing ceiling tiles in lights it's painting rooms I want to tell you to Quick stores the first is my third day on the job my third day on the job it was in the summer and mrs. Haley head constrain assistant to schedule a meeting with the group of parents I was unsure unclear about what the meeting was and there were about 12 parents came in to see me and they had kids at Edison Larson they said if we know your new we don't want to overwhelm you however we want to take you on four of Addison because it is likely our belief that you don't have a whole perspective of the reality of the situation at Edison and Larson so I grabbed Brett Bradley our director of operations and off we went we took a tour of our facilities and I will say while it was my third day I was a little surprised add some of the conditions of our facilities in particular on the second floors there were several rooms with mole Pienza poor air quality and crumbling plaster carpet that was stained ceiling tiles that were stand play John  the next door I want to tell you is the story of this happened last year and I was called in by our director of operations again Brett Bradley and he indicated that are elevator in the high schools broke  add problem as you would imagine because the only way to get to the second floor if you're in if you're in a wheelchair or on crutches is the element and coincidentally we had had a student who was a junior at the time and the student had just had knee surgery the student was observed sitting on her  rear end shooting up each step one by one we ended up making an adjustment and putting that class on the first floor so the student wouldn't have to go up the steps however because of the age of the elevator it took us approximately two weeks because the part that was broke had to be manufactured because the elevator is that old the third story I just want to tell you happy today it's Monday at 9 I have what's called a cabinet meeting with all the directors in The District in today Brett Bradley our director of operations came in and report it to me that boiler some of you may know what a package boiler is I will be honest with you I did not however what I learned is that the internal functioning of our package boiler for this building are broke and it is the boiler that heats this building in the winter time and according to Brett Bradley that's going to cost somewhere between 80 and $100,000 to fix now that package boiler was not our plan one of the things that I like to do with respect to our deferred maintenance is plan or work and work our plan one of the challenges that we face in this current reality is it's very difficult something like that arises as recently as this morning  and no that isn't just seren I mean it is serendipitous but stop making it up this is true this happen this morning this is this process is about joining the conversation you each of you joining the conversation is inseparable from what will guide the ultimate recommendation that I text recommendation when supported by this community can it or will it be successful I want to thank the board of education for their support in this process I want to thank the Grandview Heights leadership team our facility task force into work tirelessly and giving unfiltered and direct feedback I want to thank and introduce Doug ad Concord Addison was recently board approved to serve as our Grandview Heights schools Advocate Doug  I want to thank lhm advisors to where it's at who was putting together today's presentation and the bearing options along with the cost estimates and with us tonight is Dana Dana Reddick thank you Dana can I want to thank Frank Locker who is a continual support in presenting so Frank Locker planning thank you Frank I also mentioned Bricker & Eckler for their support in turn contracts in helping us through this process again as mentioned also the Grandview Heights marble Cliff community or hpg comprehensive assessment as well as the cost estimates that I'll be presenting tonight recently we created a facility video that outlines our facilities and the realities from the point of view of our staff and some in our it also for those who have not had an opportunity to take a tour of our facilities will give you some visual insights of our facilities the reality has mentioned earlier is that only if this community supports mine September 19th board recommendation can the outcome be successful I thank you again for being here tonight and in an effort to visually give you a perspective I want to share this video with you at this time when you walk through this building you can see from Renovations they just kind of cut things up to things work when it gets too hot or too cold in the classroom it's not conducive to students learning at their highest level many of our classroom sizes are about 570 Square and that's about half of what a typical high school would have from a square footage standpoint ears are embracing in our students are loving it we're doing so much project-based learning but we truly truly truly are limited by by the space there is a four-step process in facility planning the first step is an independent assessment of all of our existing K-12 facilities that assessment indicated that there was 44 million dollars in deferred maintenance the reality is however have about $540,000 of permanent Improvement on an annual basis to address our maintenance and Technology needs really helpful just to get the full understanding and appreciation for all bad the buildings are both some of the older systems has just how much wasted space there is just put all the you know the old buildings and the additions in the corridors and stairways yeah you never design a building like what we have today for work the things you normally never see broken are broken a lot each day for over a month if they did not come each and every morning to turn on the HVAC there was going to be no air pumping whatsoever I've had or there was a water some kind of a water leak and wasn't just a little water leak with the whole tile was down and water was I think so we had multiple buckets one of the things if you haven't had an opportunity to do is to tour any and all of our buildings I would strongly urge you to take advantage of our schedule tours that we have remaining in any and all of our facilities you know all you have to do is walk around our buildings and certainly you can see that in many instances are well cast their usefulness their lifespan the one that all the tours and everybody kind of goes oh I understand are my bathrooms our goal is to collaboratively transparently engage the community and an iterative process I think the school there has been an transparents in in the information that we've got both of the financial data the building data the options trying to share that with everybody putting it on the website having forums very important to the chair that as widely as possible to this High School means a lot to so many people in it means a lot to us and if it came be worked out in a way where we can make it better for a kids we we would love to see that I want to take a moment and review process for many in the room and this may be redone it however I want to make sure we're all on the same page  the first component of our process was a comprehensive K-12 play the assessment assessment was done independently and indicated that we had deferred maintenance K12 wreck in park process or component of our process was the educational Vision in that occurred in January 2017 that the third component which is where we are and this is our first of three remaining option meetings is to share the draft options with our community Garner feedback from you about what your what is the preferences are hopefully narrowing those options then to share them again garnering more feedback opinions narrowing that listen to third presenting that and then  again surveying getting more feedback that will culminate in the board presentation on September 19th after September 19th the Board of Education as well as myself and our Treasurer will analyze any and all potential funding mechanisms Partnerships provided that's where this process go if this process goes to where there is some component of addressing the financial realities of our facilities the timeline for Central bond issue would be November 2018 wanted to make sure so importantly I am using a framework to Garner quantitative and qualitative feedback from the community I've mentioned several times that the community is going to be stoppable from helping guide this process so after tonight I implore you all to please do take the survey I'm going to try and share with you is transparently and translate directly about the phase options drafts that are but I'm going to present what's critically important is is your feedback on which ones you think how fast for our community some important facts average age of our existing facilities are 90 years old for those of you that maybe I've had an opportunity to meet with an office is an icebreaker but I think sometimes people are surprised to learn that Edison Larson the building that were in the original filled was in 1911 Stevenson Elementary was originally erected in 1926 Grandview Heights High School in 1922 nrx building in 1949 the average age when factored in the additions is 54 years as mentioned we have an annual permanent Improvement budget of $540 and also as mentioned our current deferred Maine based on the assessment conducted was 44 million dollars that's there exist a gap  some of you may know that there is a bond that currently is 2.9 mils on this 1996 Edition this Edition this Bond debt that currently what's on our books will come off the books in December 2019 if we were to ask for that exact same amount of 2.9 ml are 38 years that Bond would generate approximately 15 million dollars  I sure that with you only because there could be a potential opportunity with the timing of that Bond debt coming off the books we're also going to explore any and all other Partnerships options for funding we have a debt capacity to borrow a maximum that ranges between 42 and 52 million dollars  right now exact amount is 45 million. That is a factor that are Treasurer can educate all of us warm up but it's in essence based on are assessed evaluation in our community chili 2.9 meals that would come off the books that is not included in that that would it win a pizza it's not a direct one-to-one but when the 2.9 Mills in December would come off the books it would increase our ability to borrow more it's not a 15 million dollars to put 50 million dollars is on 38 I 38 year bond but it would increase that  I'm not some other important facts are according to think which is a company that does enrollment projections are enrollment projections are subject to increase by 2020 62027 to 1200 two students are current is 1085 importantly I been ordered to be conservative or using a figure of 1220 students  we also were using for the all the Jacksons that ohm did and Doug Addis validated inflationary cost to 20/20  I think it's important also to plane that are existing K-12 facilities or approximately 300,000 square feet  based on ofcc standards to build a building based on 1220 students according to that Benchmark we would need approximately one hundred seventy square feet so as you see there's a gap between our existing square footage and what we would need if we were building new due to efficiencies and space and how spaces to buy what's today I guess you to know FCC basic benchmark  this Board of Education very yes inflation by a fair amount you know what Dana or Doug to that what I believe that they're using is a 5% annual increase to 20 20 not a 3% so in other words the calculation that was used to 20/20 with a 5% annual increase this board of education feel strongly that transparency is inseparable from the success of this process as a result we created a web page and app planning page where this PowerPoint along with all supporting documents will be uploaded on to our web page we are also recording this presentation and that pret recording this presentation will also be uploaded for you to review  I wanted to just take you on going to war as all of you probably know this is the 1926 Stevenson Elementary building here is the new you're facing facade of Edison intermediate  this is the west facing facade of Larson so this is the Ana many times is referred to as the kindergarten and at so this is east of Edison intermediate Larson Middle School cast just east of where we are and this space is primarily used during non-school hours to support first row Science Olympiad in LEGO League  this is the iconic historic you of the front face sing facade of Grandview Heights High School on 3rd Avenue in 92 so here is the Grandview Heights High School auditorium one of the things that I do say often is that in many ways this is a community Performing Arts Center you know it's Unique in its eyes it actually seat 890 students and so or at school or High School of 340 students and Auditorium that seat 899 students since uniquely large and so when I say that this is meekly age Community Performing Arts Center I do believe that that is the case I wanted to sit show everyone a picture of it  so this is the night M6 east facing facade this is at the addition in this is the gym this also is where we are here right now are the 1996 Edition so I think it important also just to reflect and is the fact that our mission so our mission is to maximize and personalize every student's learning important to communicate to every single one of you in this community that while facilities are critically important and Inseparable from our we also believe that it is exceedingly important to this board of education as well as every single staff member Grandview Heights to keep our focus on continuing proving on teaching and learning because this is after all what Christmas and that is the students that walk through our school doors each and every day continuous Improvement exam who's an actualizing our mission or one-to-one Initiative for grade 6 next year to include grade 6 level 1 2 1 6 12 we have implemented embedded K-12 learning attributes where we are assessing skills as well as content knowledge we've been involved in Cantley expanding rap access and participation at Grandview Heights High School we've moved from quarters design the k-6 grade card to provide more targeted feedback and Clarity regarding individual learn we've changed the high school grading scale to increase GTA brawl high school students to create a more competitive an equitable Plainfield and created a more consistent wait for AP  Phoenix did the school day in grades K through 8 increase foreign language offerings to honor our place model face learning district-wide so we also engaged in two Saturday day long educational visioning that answer the question how are K12 school buildings being built today and what do they look like what does teaching look like today how the facilities in teaching practices support one another focus on our students and their K-12 School experiences so some of the outcomes of that were  succinctly stated there is a difference between Howell School buildings are being built today and did today then they were in 1911 1922 1926 1949 generally speaking there is more common flexible space classroom sizes are larger they're more flexible than more multi-faceted Additionally the way in which we are providing learning opportunities for kids or how teaching is more project-based it's more applied and so correspondingly the way buildings are being built today is supportive of those new teaching methodology and the outcome was that our community was supportive of those designs for how buildings are being built today and how teachers are teaching for tomorrow's learners so I'm confident that as I plane to the face options there are going to be a lot of questions that will come up as as I presented following these proposed draft license for the community's consideration as part of our exit ticket we will be asking you to write down any and all questions that you have each one of who's will be answered individually as well as the added to our frequently asked questions or epic you and answered as part of that document will just continue add build on that document that we already have these questions also will be published and posted on our website and finally I know I mentioned about my mention again the importance of taking the online survey at the QR code and the URL access is on the back pay draft option presented today I think importantly because of the reality of our square footage and potential are the Asians more effective use of space each draft option I present does have the current and ex being demo I wanted to share set straight up and it's also in your packets that you have in front of you so the first options for calling 1A and 1B what are three large draft options the first is a repair renovate option K12 of all of our existing buildings outside of the so the variances between 1A and 1B is one is a middle ground dressing repair renovate of all existing facilities 1B is a more comprehensive so I'm going to get into it here in a little more detail the second option  is keeping Stevenson Elementary adley where it is addressing the Deferred maintenance and repair and renovate headed focusing on the 412 campus which is the footprint that all of us are sitting today on and there's two nuances between the two options to a tubing which I'll get into here directly the first is a 4-12 new and the second is a 4H new with renovate repair high school so it has Stevenson where it is focused solely on repair renovate when it focuses on the 412 campus which is our current grade band structure here the nuances are one is a brand-new 412 sylheti you could do a 4 8 building in a high school in the other is a brand new for a renovate high school and then the third big bucket is evaluating what and how we would do with Stevenson Elementary and focusing on the current footprint in looking at it more holistically as a K-12 there are three options one is more comprehensive the next is some sacrifices square footage which I'll get into and then the third is a ak8 with a renovated High School also on the surveys as well as feedback on the exit ticket if there is another option that you would like for us to consider certainly that is Inseparable part of the survey that you'll all see  tell oxen one in this is our attempt to moderately repair all existing facilities the cost proposal estimates are between 30 and 35 million dollars  overall consider star modern repairs renovations to address 88 maintenance we would need to determine and prioritize what maintenance figure for addressing academic goals this proposed option draft option maintain some of the historic opponents of gravy next High School to occlude the gymnasium the existing 890 Seahawk torrent as well as the front facing facade as well as the new fitness center is below or current established maximum Bond capacity to borrow maintains most of our existing square footage and external brick does not increase potential for project-based learning and flexible learning Concepts  so limited in that paints in that faster does not address are full load of deferred maintenance this option does not address her first full load of me or deferred maintenance and correspondingly estimated that the approximately would be 20 million dollars on address to Ford maintenance with this option exit 1B this is a call yes yeah I'm not prepared to break that out Doug did you want to comment on that  sure so you are what Woody's ass play music percentage of the 44 million is deferred maintenance and capital Improvement what I would say to you is based on the assessment can I get my conversations with ohm as well as Doug Addis are are owner's rep in order address the full load stop we will still be having to having challenges like the one I described this morning where our ability to plan our work and work our plan will be challenging so in other words replacing those wind what's is a capital Improvement but those window and these ones maybe not I don't know but many of the windows need replaced so while it's a capital Improvement in also is the dressing deferred maintenance  so some of that also I think maybe challenging to disaggregate requested in my opinion and based on the conversations that I've had with some of the experts true  so 1B is a more comprehensive approach in addressing our different maintenance Capital Improvement the estimated cost of the range between 50 and 55 million dollars this would be a repair renovate fully to address all facets of 88 compliance and maintenance reconfiguring desired for addressing academic goals support they would be renovation that would support project-based learning inspect flexible space for tomorrow's learns maintains some of the store components of Grandview Heights Building and gymnasium Auditorium the brick aesthetic that I think many like  addresses to full load of our deferred maintenance 8/8 most of our existing square footage again and the external breakfast at it is just above are stablished maximum Bond capacity so what you just take them we're going to take 5 minutes you have an exit ticket at this point I share with you the big picture of Option 1 I provided an overview about the other two big bucket options some before I go any further take a moment you can talk at your tables would like for you if you have questions now or if you have deep. Write it on your exit ticket which is the blue form at your table and in 5 minutes I'll Circle back around open say where it is is a repair renovate is again in our existing framework of 412 so the first option option to a is a new for 12 facility again we would repair rid of 18 Stevens to where it is estimated cost between 45 and 50 million dollars this would require that we demo Graham Play Ty School Edison intermediate Larry Larson Middle School we would repair renovate Stevenson Elementary on it footprint overall considerations this a new competition gym as well as an auxiliary gym  maximize potential 4 for 12 facilities for project-based Learning and flexible learning spaces external static reduction in overall square footage it would be a reduction in overall square footage but certainly we would be using more the square footage that we would have more effectively and efficiently it is just above our current establish maximum Bond borrowing capacity not be an auditorium in this plan but a cafetorium okay a cafetorium so what is a cafetorium I just got a picture off the website this is an example of what a cafetorium would look like so it's so no Auditorium in this but Castle torrent  so then option to be similar to option to a however the difference with option to me is a renovation repair of the high school a demo in Edison Larson and a new for 8 repair renovate Stevenson that's the difference the cost between 45 and 50 million dollars maintain some store components of the Grandview Heights High School including the front facing facade the auditorium as well as the fitness center maximizes potential for flexible space for Learning and project-based learning for a maintains Grandview Heights High School in can you set a static however not as focused on pbl and flexible learning spaces it is just above our current establish maximum Bond borrowing capacity yes yes great question great question her question was transition space each of these there would be required significant transition space wow we haven't got too far down that hole because what if one of the options is eliminated you know what kind of our thinking however at our next meeting hopefully when we're narrow we can speak more directly and in more detail to that suffice it to say depending upon what happens a general thought would be that we would start with the high school and work backwards again if this process lands in our doing something and part of the reason and rationale where we would start in the high school and work backwards is as opposed to the following the students as they act matriculate up you would start at the high school and work backwards the D staging it would likely require trailer space modulars and in many instances those modulars today or larger and nicer than some of our existing classroom space but that will be part of a more detailed exclamation a dog makes me so I'm doing my recommendation on September 2018 and their likely wouldn't be a I'm sorry September 2017 there would it be a the timing likely would be November 2018 for the bond issue and you wouldn't begin building until at the earliest the June 2019 that would be the early is bad you could probably do something  and that would require successful obviously passage in November volume waiting Partnerships and how you're going to find before that and then planning that entire year  you better yes all of them yeah the question was do the balance of the options outside of one a fully address the Deferred maintenance in the answer's yes Turn the Lights so the question that you asked was and I'm going to try particularly well as you did but you articulated and seeding well and that is the overall if I if I don't want to miss State what your question was but in essence what Turner say was the overall operational cost of a new facility long-term as well it cost savings as well as potential Savings in terms of administration and staff so there would likely be potential cost savings and when I get set new I do have that on my slide there would be long-term cost savings with respect to efficiency operation as well as potential cost is the terms of Staffing if you did a K-12 campus I've asked Doug and Dana and I have had this conversation we haven't put that together however it's something that we are evaluating correct it would be operational that is correct yes that was evaluated I believe that's like I'm going to say 3 months old and I was on my burger and actor  yes it's that is a calculation that is based on the Community assessed valuation and there is a methodology that is used to basically assess What bond debt capacity borrow it is our belief that as the yard further develops as well as as property values continue to increase that Arbonne debt borrowing capacity will increase however we are also committed to being very transparent a direct and honest in our current reality so that's why we did same one we furnish the range because it does change we gave you our exact amount as recent as I'm going to say that's three months old it may be too but I want to be safe only one of these options is underneath under that borrowing class you mentioned some other financing costs one you think about that you feel comfortable enough with those other things to make anything two ways one  part of why I shared the bond debt borrowing capacity is I think it's something that I we all need to be mindful of it is my belief that that borrowing capacity will increase I can not though predict how much it will increase also one of the other 52 things one the other after my presentation on September 19th  one of the other considerations that I think we are going to have to think about is stop would it be best to phase the recommendation that I have or do it all at once right now I'm trying to focus on these three big buckets and narrow the buckets quite frankly between now and June 8th so I don't want to get more ahead of myself but quite directly you know another option for consideration would be as opposed to doing it in in its entirety you could do you could Focus SE on the high school and then and not ask for more I'm not saying that's what's going to happen but I'm saying that could part of the recommendation in the ultimate Levy if that's where this process has yes  yeah so yeah so likely the timing would be true that would be at the same time November 2018 Bill Klassen so it be combined  yes sir can you get a money off of yard as far as it's cool  how soon will we get money off the yard as far as the school's okay so that's a great probably some others in the room half wonderment around how much money does the school get from the yard and how much will that increase over the next 20 years so  first off all saying there's a wonderful document that is was created by the city because our agreement to the board's agreement is with the city of Grandview and that document outlines the amount of money that Grandview Heights schools get from the city as a result of the Tif not only this year but for the next 20 and in essence there are two things all say that document is available by the way it's on our facility planning page and it's called Grandview yard and it's I think very user-friendly but in essence the amount play that we get today is approximately I don't want to miss speak words Beth Collier  is approximately Beth do you want to take this  yeah you going to have to get in essence what that amount of money is it it's ceilings off and it's approximately about 1.2 million I don't want to miss big Beth knows this better than I and it stays pretty constant for the next 20 years at that amount and the only other thing I would say and then I'll let Beth answer it is that result of the loss of tangible personal property tax and the last four or five years while the the outcome of our getting additional revenue from the Grandview yard is wonderful it almost exactly replaces the loss of Temple personal property tax to r r forecast Southern so in about mm 40 is when that tip agreement is expected and at that point the school district would would realize the full tax revenue on the Grandview yard between now and 2000 we're getting a fair of a very small percentage about 10 to 15% of the taxes that are paid on that that development on it again what we have received is is about 75% hold harmless fun simply replaces lost tax dollars from when that development began got more information on the website I don't know inside Miller and I mean the city is going to be coming into a ton of money is there anyway that we can get leather to be so inside millage is something that is allocated by the cow budget commission the Franklin County budget commission so we do not have control over inside millage and did you want to talk anymore about well I think importantly will explore any and all Partnerships no matter what. well what the way I would answer that question is that you know this is a this is a bigger conversation around how public schools are funded in a now what would I would say to you is that we need to be good stewards of taxpayer dollars and no matter what we ask it is only an Inseparable from what the Community Values to include the solution to address this current reality you know one of the things I would say is that to my knowledge there's never can a comprehensive facility evaluation and plan to address Grandview Heights facility situation and so I know not what the best solution is and which solution this community will most Embrace but what I do know is that the irresponsible things who is not to have an iterative collaborative process to engage you and everyone else and what that solution should look like so I know not whether it will to use your words of 45 million dollar ass or some something lower but I do know that we need to do nothing to address our current facility reality right as I sit here before you today I can't tell you the exact amount of Miller stopped in November 2018 we will be asking for I do know that between now and then we need to continue to Maine can you be good stewards of would have a new modern 500-seat Auditorium a competition gym and and and lower again this option does include enhance exterior brick aesthetic that would replicate the front facing 3rd Avenue Grandview Heights High School  educationally it would minimize its potential for project-based I'm sorry maximizes potential for project base turning in flexible learning spaces operational cost maximizes ability to create a K-12 green Sony that is potentially a LED certified building supports educational transitions from grade to grade and increases collaboration K12 we would have to evaluate future use for the space that Stevenson rest Volvo current maximum Bond borrowing capacity  Swanson 3B now the difference between option three and three is as follows so this one is estimated at $170,000 total square feet  this one is a 612 Auditorium with a full working stage in movable seating but it does not have a separate Auditorium includes K5 student dining change competition gym in help me okay yes so the question was is there a value assigned to Stevenson so that's a great question and it's one that we discussed extensively at this point in our process because we know not where what the community feels in part of the survey data is going to vet that outta me we ask multiple questions about Stevenson Elementary its aesthetic it slow having a cade three separate from a 4-12 campus we have several survey questions about that so at this point we haven't intentionally have it analyzed or gotten across projection for what it would be and you know I will also so we haven't however in the event that the survey results come back seemingly favorable for a K-12 campus I think that is something that we going to have to look closer at in advance of our next meeting  yes sir projects I might in Arizona when I was in assistant principal another I was insisted superintendent and both times there was play a belief that it could be done in 15 months in advance of the first some rough calculations of we did a project that equaled our debt capacity right now so a 45 million dollar project just kind of round numbers a 45 million dollar project would would be about an 8.2 Mill Levy is is what the numbers look like right now as interest rates change that that could change there's a lot of factors that all affect us but justable part of a 45 million dollar project would be stop 8.2 Mills now the important thing is that all of our is paying right now that is going to be off the books in 2019 so an 8.2 Mill new Levy less 2.9 listing Levy so the net difference is about 5 and 1/2 I don't have the dollar pic of soap so 5 1/2 Mill Levy is going to cost about $170 per 100,000 again rough estimates but that should give you some framework some idea that would be that would likely be new again there's too many moving parts for me even predict whether it would be how that would be but it would be a combined likely yes sir I don't remember what it is to be paid or where the whole place to download now what we would it again depending upon the plan is Select and depending upon the community feedback in the surveys and where is this lands what we would do is we would start with the high school and work backwards so that the construction isn't following the students it would be saying it would be safe similarly as on as I'm outline well I think you could use in this during that transition time you could use Stevenson Elementary as a space for kids during the transition  renovation is not necessarily disrupted the new construction it's very complicated puzzle but he's a great question will try to pay more attention to it by the time we see what I made okay yes yeah sure yeah yeah yeah great question great question the question was is what do the classroom teachers think so the survey that I have mentioned that we're going to have everyone take that it's going to be decided dated separated out by community staff  add evaluated in in that way with great intentionality so I will be able to answer that question better 3 weeks from now then I can today but part of the reason that we're doing that with the survey is so that we can better understand your question so I'm going to move forward here out of respect for time 3 seat so repair this one is a K-8 K12 campus again this one is a Cahill repair renovate 912 or the high school living facilities the K12 athletic facilities that are north of the high school including the football stadium the following so are atletic director has furnished me in collaboration with the small committing the following two oftens for the considered for the for the community's consideration I want you to so this option new locker room restroom home stands renovate new softball field and a new six link trap what are the considerations are safety and gender Equity NATA Compliance New locker rooms currently of the La Cruz currently are primarily used almost extensively used by football players  so maybe go over these one by one so this wouldn't play 12000 square foot building for locker rooms and restrooms with an estimated cost a new six-lane track  news call Phil with dugouts and stands  strip recoat existing home concrete stands  renovate existing locker rooms and restrooms 88 compliant access and seating to home and visiting stands right now neither are home or visiting stands or 88 compliant new exterior fencing security lighting asphalt pavement so awesome to is a prioritisation of the option one that I just presented and the estimated pause for this is $2000000 similar overall considerations this one is a smaller square foot locker room restrooms  listen this is a renovation of the concrete home stands restrooms add the 88 compliant access and seating to home and visiting stands we would repair the track not replace the track  new exterior security lighting  band on the survey there is also an option for other considerations because this is also on
