Author Visits

Author and poet Jason Reynolds will visit Edison Intermediate & Larson Middle School on Friday, February 22, 2019, and present to EILMS students as well as Trinity Catholic middle school students.  Jason Reynolds is the New York Times best-selling author of All American Boys, the Track series, Long Way Down, For Everyone, and Miles Morales-SpidermanHe is an American author who writes novels and poetry for young adult and middle-grade audiences, including Ghost, a National Book Award Finalist for Young People's Literature.

On Thursday, February 21, 2019, author and illustrator Jason Tharp will visit Stevenson Elementary.  Tharp is on a mission to encourage the world to "be the weird they want to see in the world" and lead by kindness and love for ourselves and others.  Peachy and Keen and the Hog Mollies are two series that Tharp both writes and illustrates.  In preparation for his visit, Stevenson Elementary students have been working on the character trait of perseverance in following directions while drawing many of Tharp’s book characters.  To learn more about Jason Tharp, visit his website at https://www.wondervillestudios.com/blank
